Prime Minister Muhammad Shayya al-Sudani inaugurated the Al-Alamiya Factory for the Production of Medical and Industrial Gases on Saturday—one of the private sector projects located in Baghdad.

During his visit, the Prime Minister toured the various sections of the facility, which is considered the first of its kind in Iraq in terms of integrated production lines and operational efficiency. He praised the efforts of the workers behind this significant industrial project and emphasized that many provinces are in need of industrial gases, especially iron factories in Karbala, Basra, Salah Al-Din, and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s support for the industrial sector in general, and for private-sector industrialists and entrepreneurs who deliver achievements similar to this factory. He also stressed the government’s commitment to providing support and facilitation for anyone who offers advanced technologies and high-quality industrial production. Moreover, he noted the government’s keenness to allocate land for major industrial projects that can pave the way for vital Iraqi industries and contribute to strengthening the national economy.
