Iraq suffered for decades from external and internal wars and sanctions that wasted Iraqi national and human resources that disunited its social and family cells, through targeting the economic, social, health, and intellectual bases. Then, the changing era occurred, bringing all its internal and external challenges, and obstacles that Iraqis have to pass to reach a safe coast. This cannot happen without unifying all the efforts, which is one of the roles of NGOs that have to take their responsibilities. The Light of Hope Organization for Sustainable Development “NGO” is one of those NGOs that aim to stand behind the government and the institutions of Iraq to end all the forms of poverty and hunger by providing the food security and sustainable agriculture. To ensure that all people, including women and children, enjoy healthy and prosperous lives. Also to focus on developing education systems which must be covering all the society and all ages. To provide the equality between men and empowering all women and girls. To ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. In addition to get all people access to affordable reliable, sustainable and modern energy. For achieving those goals, we need to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all, and build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation. To make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. To take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. To protect the oceans, seas, rivers and marine resources for sustainable development. To protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss. Achieve these goals for promoting peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels. Then to highlight the beauty of the Iraqi society and their high diverse cultures. For these goals, we must strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
